Education First

Our region enjoys the benefit of some of the brightest and most talented students and teachers in the state, but we lack funding at all levels to support students and teachers to their fullest capacity. I support increased funding at all levels, including increased funding for trade and technical programs, to take advantage of the talent we have right here in the 69th district.

Adequate Childcare Now

During this pandemic, more woman have dropped out of the workforce than ever before due to the inability to secure reliable childcare. If we are to address worker shortages, we must address the lack of adequate child care.

Right to Privacy

All people deserve to maintain the dignity of their body autonomy and deserve to develop a relationship with their physician that is free from government interference. When we interfere with that right, we start down a slippery slope of improper government control.

Investment in Broadband Infrastructure

Economic growth in our region cannot move forward without an expansion of robust and reliable broadband and cellular service. We must capitalize on federal funding and develop our own Wisconsin plan to cover rural communities.

Enjoyment of the Outdoors

We live in one of the most beautiful places in the country and have an obligation to maintain it. Whether you enjoy hunting and fishing or just long hikes in the woods, we should be able to agree that everyone benefits from clean air and clean water. I support policies that will balance economic development with a healthy respect for the value of our natural landscape.

Healthcare Investment

The COVID pandemic has hit rural health systems hard. We need to ensure that families have access to quality health plans, but we also need to ensure that families have access to medical care through their local hospital. We must act now before that infrastructure is dismantled.

Gun Safety

There is no reason why we should live in a world where children are afraid to go to school, patients are afraid to go to the hospital, and we cannot shop for groceries without fear of being killed. It is up to responsible gun owners to say enough is enough.
